Come down and join 1000's of people in the Inner Harbour to witness one of the most enchanting events of the season! On December 3rd at 5pm, The GVHA will launch over 25 beautifully decorated boats from Ship Point for the Annual Lighted Ship Parade. When the boats head out into the darkness, the only things visible are the elegant lights as the boats circle and show off in the Inner Harbour and up by Fisherman’s Wharf.
Ship Point will be full of lights and life from 5:30 – 9:00 with music, artisan vendors, hot apple cider and over 3000 square feet of heated tents. If you would like to be a vendor click here . Food trucks will be on-site, serving some of the most popular urban food. Prizes will be given out for the boats with the best decorations. Look for Santa to make an appearance with candy canes for the kids.
Come early. Before the ships launch the Lighted truck convoy will pass the Empress hotel and light up the harbour with their horns and lights. The Lighted truck parade maps and routes are below.

Santa Clause will come by for a visit to hand out candy canes if you’ve been good, and coal if you’ve been bad!
The Lighted Ship Parade supports the Victoria Cool Aid Society. Last year we raised over $1000.00 and three large garbage bags full of warm clothing and food! Please feel free to bring any non-perishable food items or gently-used clothing items to Ship Point. A representative from Cool Aid will be there to take donations, and answer any questions you may have.
If you would like to participate in the Lighted Ship Parade, please contact Sarah Turner (see contact details below) to register! Capital Iron has generously offered a 20% off coupon for Christmas lights for all participants, which can be picked up at the Marina Office. Watch for our posters, which will be posted at each facility.
