What makes this Labour Day Market so special ? The artist of course. This weekend's market is the biggest of the year with an additional 45 artist added to the Victoria Harbour festival line up. They come from Comox, Ninaimo, Vancouver, Mill Bay, and Montreal to show off there creations. There are some great gift ideas at the #shippointmarket this weekend. Open until Monday at 5:00 pm. Sunday 10:30 to 10:30, Saturday 10:30 to 10:30.
Eset Leku immigrated to Canada as a refugee from Kosovo. He was an Art teacher their and remained in touch with his passion here. I 1st met Eset in Bastion Square selling his art and then he moved to the Causeway and created portraits of people. He worked and sold his creations for over 16 years in Victoria. Last week he passed and he will be missed by the artist community on the causeway, the GVHA and the public which he served so well over the years.
Enjoy all the excitement that comes with the dragon boat festival. The ship point market will be back next weekend :)
